VAMPIRE (Worldwide)

Vampires refer to themselves as “un-dead”, “nosferatu”.  They live on blood, appear to be immortal, but can be
destroyed by driving a stake through their heart, beheading, or exposing them to sunlight.
Anything beyond that is speculation. How vampires came to be, how created, their physiology and even their
psychology is described in a mountain of misinformation foist upon the public by persons unknown.  Ormondroyd’s
endorses the works of Bram Stoker, Anne Rice, Joss Whedon, and Manly Wade Wellman as authenticated. This
is not to impugn other writers, merely to underline how much of what we “know” about vampires is uncertain.
People are both frightened and attracted by vampires. The creature offers the seduction of ruthless power and
immortality, but this is paid for with the sin of age and corruption feeding on youth and life.

“The bodies of deceased persons, animated by evil spirits, which come out of the grave in
the night-time, suck the blood of many the living, and thereby destroy them.”
